Monetary Policy Statement At the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting today, Bank Negara Malaysia decided to raise the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) by 25 basis points to 2.75 percent. The floor and ceiling rates of the corridor for the OPR are correspondingly raised to 2.50 percent and 3.00 percent respectively. |

Response to Letter to the Editor published in New Straits Times We refer to the letter to the editor titled “Clear air on charges” by Mr. Narinder Pal Singh dated 19 March 2010. Bank Negara Malaysia conducts on-going surveillance to ensure that fees and charges levied by financial institutions for their financial products and services are consistent with the fees and charges guiding principles, and that, excessive charges are not unreasonably imposed on customers. |
